Per Andreasen

To think, dream, choose - and act, to create meaning, might be the best way to describe Per Andreasen's way of acting. Judge for yourself reading the following interview. We meet Per Andreasen in the process of completing a project in his studio in Paris.

"In my teen-years playing with local bands in Denmark, I often dreamed about being able to compose and arrange my own music," says Per Andreasen, who continues: The dream began to take shape when I, along with my close friend Steve Cameron, formed a band, playing our own (original) music. "

"A few years later, after intense work, we decided that we were ready to give it a try, attempting to record an album with our own music. It was extremely challenging - like losing your footing for a while," (loosing touch) adds Per Andreasen.

The attempt, however, went so well that Steve and Per was given a record deal in Paris, which later turned out to be the start of something big. Per moved to Paris in 1985, where he, alongside his work as a bassist, was asked to write music for various soloists.

"The collaboration with other composers, arrangers and musicians were very inspiring and important for my career, " says Per Andreasen.
Through his work of writing, arranging and recording all kind of music for the music editors, Kosinus / Kapagama, companies that distributes so-called "Illustrative music " World Wide , Per Andreasen has built a huge practical and solid knowledge in his field.

Composing, arranging and recording music is a passion for Per Andreasen. A passion that has led him to invest in his own studio, from which many exciting projects subsequently is distributed out into the world.

" Most people have dreams. Unfortunately only few people make their dreams come true. Maybe because they are afraid to fail or to lose the life they know - I don’t know. I think dreams deserve a chance. Perhaps there is a hidden reality of the dream, which can enrich one's life" concludes Per Andreasen and return to work in the studio.
